| Document analysis shows how little civil society input is reflected in current drafts |

| Geneva, 22 September 2003. Today, a group of volunteers from civil society compiled a comparative analysis of three documents: The Draft Declaration of Principles that came out of the Paris Intersessional in July, the comments by civil society organisations as developed at the beginning of PrepCom3, and the latest version of the Draft Declaration of Principles that came out on 19th September. The comparison, nicely done in a paragraph-by-paragraph table, clearly shows how little the efforts of civil society are listened to. Roughly 60% were plainly rejected, 15% were more or less taken, and 25% "somehow" ended up in the newest declaration draft, as one member of the group told worldsummit2003.org.
